Ghana Premier League
The Ghana Premier League or simply Glo Premier League is the official name of the top football division of the football league system in Ghana. Formed in 1956, it has been dominated by Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak.
Broadcasting rights
In April 2009, Optimum Media Prime (OMP) secured the television production and broadcast rights to Ghana Premier League after signing a deal worth GH¢1.7 million with the GFA for two-and-half years.
Sponsorship
In December 2008, Glo Mobile Ghana, a subsidiary of Globacom contracted a five-year sponsorship deal with the Premier League until the end of the 2013/14 season.

Hearts of Oak is the leading club with 21 points, following on is Asante Kotoko with 20 points and Goldfields with only 3 points.

About the Coach
Lagos, June 19 (Xinhua) Ghana’s new coach Guido Buchwald from Germany is now the official coach of Ghana team. Guido Ulrich Buchwald is a German former football defender and manager.
The best game of Buchwald's career was probably the final of the 1990 FIFA World Cup when he effectivelly marked the skilled footballer, Diego Maradona, earning him the nickname 'Diego'. He was also part of Germany's disappointing 1994 FIFA World Cup squad.
Now by Coaching Ghana team he would earn $30,000 monthly, according to the official Ghana News Agency. The Ghana Football Association (GFA) headhunted for Frenchman Claude Le Roy’s successor in a move that drew names including Klaus Toppmoller and former trainer Ralph Zumdick.

About Ghana Football Team
Although the team did not qualify for the senior FIFA World Cup until 2006 they had actually qualified for five straight Olympic Games Football Tournaments when the tournament was still a full senior National Team competition. The team have won the African Cup of Nations four times[7] (in 1963, 1965, 1978, and 1982), making Ghana the second most successful team in the contest's history, behind Egypt.

Ghana has enjoyed tremendous success on the youth level, winning the World Under-17 title twice, and finishing second at the World Youth Championship twice as well.
